i love to blog

i had a negative comment and i need to vent.

i love to blog mostly because i like to help people. from the moment i started logging into SL, I was determined to understand everything about it... and to my surprise there was a lot to know. i'm still learning new things every day... i also do it because i'm an organized person and it helps to have a visual reference of my clothing. so i guess im trying to say, that my intentions for this blog are positive. how can any rational human being criticize me for not living up to their expectations? it doesn't make any sense to me. if this blog doesn't meet your expectations then don't view it.

  1. I agree. Forget them. I love to blog for the same reason(s) as well :)

  2. Don't mind then Ophelia!! Just continue what you love doing.. :)

  3. Just tweak your perspective on what is being said .. people are not really telling anyone about you and your work .. they are explaining themselves ..."Your blog is awful" actually means "I can't do what you do and am jealous" or "I feel threatened by your blog and hope my nasty comment can deter you" or "I am lonely and miserable and like to share that"

It only hurts because you are not sure yourself that your blog is great ... if they wrote and said "You have a purple face and an onion growing out the side of your head" you would laugh and pay it no attention because you know it is completely untrue. WE allow the things others to say hurt us because we give it a little bit of creedence.

And BTW .. your blog is great! And I added you to my roll ...:) I was thrilled you asked!

  4. i was actually just thinking of that this morning. i thought that the reason the people say negative things is because they probably don't have very much love in their life... so rather than responding negatively to negative comments... we should take note of the underlying message and respond according to that. even realizing this, it's hard for me to take criticism... it weighs heavy on my mind.

  5. Ophelia - ignore them and enjoy what you do. You have a lovely blog and I'm adding you to mine!

    Keep doing what you're doing!

  6. :D i so agree to all thats been said especially Bliss Windlow's statement..

  7. thanks girls. i feel a million times better! it feels amazing to have people you don't even know support you :)

    Brianne - I added you too :D
